PHOTOGRAPHER, LONDON, UK
Amanda is a photographer spanning the realms of art and social documentary photography. People are central to her work, whether appearing as themselves, or by being represented through their interactions with the world around them and the marks that they make.
Demonstrated below is a cross-section of her work including observational photography, portrait photography, and social documentary photography. She has taught, written and spoken about photography, and is open to opportunities in this vein.
In August she created an outdoor art installation for Thamesmead Festival, which you can read about in her latest Blog Post.
Amanda’s work has been exhibited extensively in the UK and internationally, as well as featuring in several publications. Last year she was awarded a grant from Thamesmead Community Fund, which enabled her to create the project Getting To Know You which culminated in an exhibition and publication at The Lakeside Centre, Thamesmead.
Eatwell uses writing as part of her practice, though mostly in the ideas & research phases. She writes a blog which comes out roughly once a month. To keep up with exhibitions and project news you can read or subscribe here.
